Saturn USB

I'm attempting to permanently change my saturn gamepad to usb as per the tutorial on this site.  But I'm having trouble finding a suitable PC USB pad here in the US.  The Elecom pad he referred to is nonexistant in the US (JP+EUR exclusive company).  I bought a logitech pad but the resistors were so tiny (and not soldered by hand) so it would be physically impossible to remove them.  

Any suggestions on a PC USB pad I could use components from?  I desperately want to use my saturn controller without a giant, ugly USB conversion box.
