Anyone have some extra they want to sell. I'm located in the U.S. Looking to get like 2-3 x LM1881N, 6 x 0.1uf Capacitors , 4 x 680K ohm resistor, 9 x 220uf capacitor .

Nvrmnd.

In the DC2JAMMA it needed a 680K ohm resistor. I see them selling as 1/4w Carbon and metal film, 1/2W carbon, and 1,5,10,watts ? Which one do I get?

Digikey sells this stuff in small quantities.

You don't need high wattage resistors.  go for low tolerance (10%)

You can get as many as 5 LM1881s from National Semiconductor for free, just go to their website, look up the part and request "samples." All you pay for is the shipping, a couple of bucks at the most.

I hate to say it but even check ebay now and then. You be surprised the bulk stuff people are trying to get rid of.  Got a bunch off a guy that was selling strips of 20.  I got a few off of him for 2.50.  Easy enough but sometimes you'll end up with alot left over but most places are not going to sell you 1 680 ohm resistor by its self.
I would be nice for the power mod'ers around here if they do have extra would be willing to sell some spare parts or do some light work for pay.  But in the grand scheme of things doing it on your own never hurts in the long run. ;)

Thanks for the info. The place I ended up was  http://www.futurlec.com. It had most of the stuff I needed. Though they didnt have 10% tolerance resistors with low wattage. Just the 5%.

Hey Mike615,
How did your order go with Futurlec.  They look to have alot of the things I need to get.  Was the shipping decent for cost and speed? Just wondering.

Drewman21

viletim!

Drewman21,
I order parts from futurlec (though from their .com.au website) now and then. They're located in Thailand so that's where all the parts are sent from. Postage reates are very cheap, cheaper that local suppliers but it usualy takes about 2-3 weeks for the parts to arrive. Just don't buy their cheapo plugs/sockets.

Parts off ebay....yeah, I did that once....and one day I might even find a use for a monster size reel of tantalum capacitors. Though I think I could have found a better use for the $12 :)
