Does anyone know of a way to make a Component conector for the Dreamcast or Perhaps a DVI conector using a VGA box. It seems with the AV connections that the dreamcast has there sould be some way.

The Dreamcast itself only produces Composite, S-Video and RGB signals. When the console is in VGA mode, it's actually producing RGB. If you want Component or DVI, then you'll need to buy a converter box to turn the RGB signal into Component or DVI.

The VGA to DVI converters I've seen so far have been between $300 and $1200, and may or may not convert 640x480 into DVI, depending on the model. RGB to Component converters tend to be a bit cheaper however.

Yeah, you need a converter. It depends on what type of DVI signal you are talking about, if it's DVI-D(igital), then the digital to analog converter will be expensive. If you're using a DVI analog signal, the adapter should be around $12.

If you have your heart set on a component signal, I'd go with a Key Digital RGB to component box. They're around $150-$200 US and they work very well.
Hey there, fancy pants!
