SNES super scope sensor

Many many moons ago I came across a super scope at a car boot sale without its sensor.  After a quite warmed discussion with the stall owner, who thought it would work without it no mater what I said, I convinced him to give it me for free if I bought some other games off him.

Now fast forward to now.  I now own a Game Doctor SF7 and after going thrugh the collection of snes roms I have and I saw that there were quite a few scope games.

After googling for a while I have not turned up any info on how the sensor works in relation to sending the IR info from the scope to the snes.

If there arent any very complicated electronics involved I could probably build my own sensor.

Can anybody here shed any light on my little conundrum?

Ok, sorry, should of realised.  However when I got the scope I also got the 6 game cart with it, but with no sensor, I can't play it.

damn lawrence ur just a plain out bitch.....wtf is the point of interfacing and mod-ing controllers if ur not goin to use them with mod's? After all as far as i know that is the whole point of using actual game controllers...so that the mod's will feel more realistic as opposed to use a shitty keyboard! so to you i say .... FUCK YOU!!
p.s. - even if u remove this from the forum...you'll have read it first, so I'm satisfied.  (LMFAO)

Anyone, who can make coherent sense of this, might win something via paypal!

Well my guess is that he is trying to put this into words.

You will have to do better than that to get into a four-year university though.

The word 'Troll' mean anything to you? :) Especially as Butter_head_pat was referring to a real SNES rather than an emulator, which rather demonstrates the point.

Back to the original question - someone would have to do a bit of reverse engineering the IR sensor unit to see what it does. I suspect that the signal from the scope to the sensor is pretty basic, as timing needs to be fairly tight for lightguns of any description.

Dear Spyder,
You are a flipping moron. You are speaking of "rom's" not "mod's." And lawrence is speaking of downloading games you dont own. Even if you think differently then he, (as i do) why do you feel the need to bash him? Grow up.

Love,
