Sharp x68000 monitor 31khz filter?

Hey guys, I have finally acquired a sharp x68000 monitor. It arrived here from Japan yesterday and to my surprise it works perfectly. I am absolutely over the moon about this monitor! It looks so good in 15 and 31 kHz! I was wondering if anyone knows if the 31khz mode uses a smoothing filter? It just seems like sprite edges look really smooth in 31khz, compared to my dell monitor. If anyone is on the fence about getting one of these monitors, you really won't regret it! I think the scanlines look better than my 14" Sony pvm.
