Oddly enough all the GALS on the Poly were unlocked (all 8 of em whew) and it had a huge 27c4002 eprom on it. The 0661 Scsi card is made by System Sacom and uses 27c256 eproms.

Hopefully this helps someone!

What is the Polyphonic board comprised of anyway? An FPGA or CPLD with off-the-shelf components, Like the Nereid. Or entirely built into one FPGA?

Nah nothing like that. It consists of a processor (not the fpu, but a separate processor TMP68303), DRAM, CMOS ram, a ton of gals, eprom, and 74LS logic. That's basically it.

 Hi Hyperneogeo !

Thank you for the quality Wiki material. The ROM dumps are great ! Could you please make hires pictures of the Polyphon board from both sides ? Preferably in a well illuminated area and without the flash.

 Hi Hyperneogeo !

Thank you for your work and quick reply. This thing looks massive. The main reason why I asked for hires pics was because we have ROM dumps and someone in the near or far future could try to clone this board. But for that to happen we absolutely need very clear and not blurry pictures of the board from both sides, so that anyone who might want to give it a go could follow the traces and read the chip markings. Terribly sorry for the inconvenience but this is very important. BlueBMW once mentioned that flatbed scanner is ideal for such tasks. Proof of concept can be seen here:
