Grid on LCD panel with DC VGA box

I have a strange grid on the picture that come from my DC VGA box (Treamcast brand) on my Iiyama AS4332UTD.
Another guy has the same kind of problem with his GC hooked up to his LCD via a VGA cable he bought at www.goldenshop.com.hk

another (warning : this one is quite big).

In both cases, the image is fine on a CRT monitor.

Does anybody know what the problem is ?

Probably just artifacts from the 640x480 image being scaled to the true resolution of your LCD (the maximum it can do).

If that was a tube I'd blame the cabling, ghosting and shadowy vertical lines are a result of inadequate cable quality usually.  On the LCD tho I'd say Tom's got the right idea.  It's impossible to say for sure, but it's very possibly an enlargement artifact.
