easiest way to convert ntsc n64 > pal video?

ive been reading a lot of threads but im still a bit confused.
have a friend in ausie, im in the usa, and they want an ntsc n64.

what is the easiest way to hardware mod an ntsc n64 to play pal video? i have pretty advanced soldering skills so working with hardware is not a problem.
rgb mod? what cables would be needed after rgb mod? is there a better way?

any info is greatly appreciated.
