I've been drooling over the XRGB 2/2+ for several years now, and I'm curious as to how it handles a certain situation. Systems like the X68000, Gamecube and Amiga will switch wantonly between 31KHZ and 15 KHZ on the same cable, and I'm wondering - what happens when an XRGB-2 gets fed 31KHZ through it's RGB port? Does it try to upscan the signal (resulting in some weird huge resolution), or does it simply pass it through to the monitor?

If the XRGB* receives a 31kHz signal through the 15kHz port it simply refuses to display, or, if it thinks it's still 15kHz (which hasn't happened often) it shows a strange dual image.

You'll need a switch or cable swappage to use the XRGB with an X68.

That's a shame. Too bad there's no automatic switchers available to give an elegant solution.
