RGB and capacitors... and a distorted picture

Hi,

So I finally made a cable for my Sony PVM 2530 which I can use to connect it to my powered monitor switch... which supports the lower frequencies... and I have finally made a cable intended for carrying such signals that actually works (Yay me!) ...Outside of there being some geometric distortion of the picture... I used it with my Apple IIgs to verify I had it working. The image doesn't change distortion wise with or without the powered monitor switches. When using an HD15 to BNC cable with my smaller 13" PVM I don't see this distortion of picture at all.

Anyway, I'm not really planning to use with this monitor with the IIgs, but rather some other game systems so I'm not super  inclined to try to deal with the picture distortion if it doesn't show up on my game systems.

What I'm not totally clear on is whether I need to use capacitors when I'm working on the game console end of things.

Right now, I'm planning on using this monitor with my Sega Master System, Genesis, Saturn, SuperNintendo, and playstation. Followed later with the TG16/CD, N64, and maybe if I were to get so brave to replace the CPU in one, the NES.

I don't really like making cables... I'm thinking I'd rather just add BNC connectors to the systems because I'll have more room to work with and I can just buy some BNC to HD15 cables to go along.

But now, I'm confused as to whether I need to add capacitors or not to the color lines. I found this page which shows 220uf being put on the RGB lines, but I'm wondering if this is something specific to using a TV's SCART input and whether it applies to using my PVM or not.
