Hello.
I bought a RGB scart cable for my wii from ebay, but i cant get any RGB signal from it. The TV just displays composite signal, like with the original cable. So i opened up the cable, and found out that all the conectors were there, and the ren, blue, and green one had each a capacitor in the scart end of the cable. Thats to get a clearer picture, right? Im trying to compare my cable with the diagram posted on http://gamesx.com/wiki/doku.php?id=av:wii_multi_av_pinout

Do you have any ideas what could be causing the wii not to send RGB signals? Its a softmodded PAL wii, with PAL games. The TV supports rgb input.

EDIT:
RGB goes as in the wire picture, but with wii on, measuring in the scart connector, i get about 600 mV on blue and green connectors, but about -10 (jumping) on red. Might this be the issue? Maybe shorten out the capacitors?

Also, my cable doesnt seem to have the 5V and 12 V connections as in the diagram, but as i have understood they are not necessary??

They are necessary. On Pin no. 16 at the SCART connector you need 1 to 3V, otherwise the TV won't switch into RGB mode. Either 12V or 5V should be connected to Pin no. 16 through a resistor, otherwise the TV simply won't switch into RGB mode.
Where did you get this strange Wii RGB cable, ebay?

You can also try to force the TV into RGB mode by enabling video text. That worked on many CRT TV's in the past.
