You're a bigger Hori fanboy than I am.  =)

The only Hori gear I have left, stick-wise, is my own personal gear.  A Saturn stick, a few PS sticks, and perhaps a Famicom unit.  Also a PCE stick wtih a CoreGrafx inside. ^_^

nice, I wasn't sure if you'd see it here so I double posted in the controller forum, you can delete that one if you want, thanks for responding.

I have found a few of them here or there, I just knew you'd have a fair price but I understand these things are scarce now and I wouldn't give up my personal collection so I completely understand.

that's pretty awesome about the Core Engine in the joystick.

Thanks again

Also, is the Fighting Stick Multi (for SFC and MD) the only full sized Fighting Stick for MegaDrive? it's a shame they didn't have a dedicated model. I mean if the PCE could get one, surely the MegaDrive could too :D

I moved this topic and deleted the duplicate.

Regarding the Megadrive joystick, I have both three-button and six-button variants of this item, but they're not for sale:

They're a little mushy, but the base is heavy steel and they're quite stable for fighting game use.

ah yes, I have the 6 button version of Sega's official stick also, fantastic stuff.

I was just suprised that Hori seemed to do one of their rectangular "fighting sticks" for every console of that era BUT the Megadrive. they hit Super Famicom, PC Engine, Saturn, PS1, Neo Geo all with similar designs.

Ha ha, Lawrence I just saw what you said about me being a Hori fanboy. I suppose you could say that.

to be honest it's only recently that I've really gotten into video game hardware at all, a couple months ago I got my Sony RGB 15khz monitor, some RGB cables. Later got a few japanese systems, and some arcade boards which I'm still stuggling to get up and running (just ordering secondary components)

Recently I've been picking up arcade sticks and controllers for various systems, just two weeks ago I got a Sega Mark III which I was pretty psyched about, and a lot more fun than I thought.

I guess you could say I caught about every retro video game hardware bug.

mainly I'm interested in series of models like the ones I mentioned, I find it interesting that they would publish more or less the same controller for multiple systems.

Hori has been my latest conquest, I already have most all sega sticks and gamepads, I even got a HSS-0130 from yahoo auctions japan for only $100 but the shipping is gonna kill me.

but yeah, Mainly I'm interested in Sega gear first, some nintendo gear, hori, as you can tell... other than that, it's more of a case by case scenario.

Hori didn't release much for the MegaDrive 'cause the MD really kinda tanked in Japan.  It was a huge success in the West, but the Japanese pretty much ignored it in favour of the Sufami.

The big Sega Virtual Stick Pro is totally worth the money.  I have four or five of 'em and love 'em to pieces.  Being able to swap out most modern CPs really is convenient.  When I got my Aleck64 or my Naomi analogue sticks it was dead easy to find a home for 'em.  =)

I see, a shame, the Megadrive did have some good arcade ports. Yeah, I knew the Virtua Stick Pro was worth it, it's just pricey (for good reason) something I don't know if I'll ever get is the PS3 Vritua Stick High Grade because they are sold for the price of a collectors item but they really aren't that great from what I've heard, at least compared to much cheaper competition.

What is an Aleck64 stick, or what is it used in?
