Adding buttons to original Neo Geo stick + Saturn adaptor

Hi all.

Had a search here and all round the web but cannot really find anything on this...

Is there enough room and is it possible to add another row of buttons to an original Neo Geo stick?  As present mine is fitted with Sanwa 24mm clip in buttons and it looks like there would be enough room to add a lower row by removing the plastic supports inside - anyone ever done this?  And are there any plug in off the shelf adaptors for using the NG stick with a Saturn or DC?

It's fairly tight but probably not to tight to fit the new buttons inside the stick. The major problem in my opinion is that it will be a pain to mount them and make it look good in the process.

Another problem is that the amount of wires. There are only two wires "free" in the cable, you can perhaps also use pin 9 which makes it three. But then it stops.  So you can only add three buttons at most without having to do a bit more serious modding.

Hi, thanks for that - as you say adding three buttons would be OK - this was the plan (4+3) to cater for Neo Geo + a supergun with 3 + 3.  Shame the Saturn needs another button ideally but this stick is really only for Saturn shooters and fighters so it should be possible to compromise and forget the shoulder buttons or just let the 'D' button act as a single shoulder when needed?
