Long time lurker, new member though.  You all have a great site with tons of information, thank you all for that!

I do have 2 questions though if anyone has time to answer it would be greatly appreciated.

1)  The 0.1 uf caps that go on the lm1881n circuit, do i need to pay attention to pos/neg.?  Ive never used ceramic caps before and i couldnt even tell which way is pos/neg.

2)  Ive been to 2 radio shacks today and none of them have 680k resistors.  I do however have 750k,  does anyone know if those will happen to work in place of the 680k?

Thanks!!

I appreciate the time!

Ceramic capacitors, in general, are not polarized. You can safely use either lead for either connections. The resistors are another matter, as too much slop in one direction or another can lead to a different result from what you're aiming for.

My favorite solution is to combine resistors. Don't have a 680 handy? A 450 and a 220 together get close enough, and wired in series they produce the result I want. A 10 ohm different is much better than a 100 ohm difference.

Thanks for the information.  It worked out very well!

Thanks again for the help
