Looking at the Commlink port on the Turbo Express got me thinking - is it possible to add this port to a TG-16? Could it be one of the pins on the expansion port that could simply be added? The commlink port looks like a stereo plug carrying only 1 or 2 signals, anyone know if this is built into the TG-16?

The TE com port comes out of a custom chip that also handles controller functions in the TE, but not in the TG16.  It's probably a simple mechanism, but AFAIK no one knows what it is.
