Hello, been lurking the boards for a while and decided to join.

for a while now, I've always wanted to experience playing older consoles in their pure RGB format via Japanese 21-pin input, as well as something Tate-friendly for vertical games, but didn't know where to start. I learned about the sony PVM monitors a while back and wanted one badly, but i need to make sure i have all the right info i need before i buy. I just have a few questions-

is there anyone here that can make a custom DB25 to JPN 21-pin RGB adapter w/RCA audio inputs?
Is the PVM 2030 & 2530 tate friendly at all?
can anyone give me an idea on how big they are? I'm currently using a 20" magnavox "true flat" CRT that came from target IIRC.
Is there any way to get these monitors to display VGA via adapters? I'm wanting to build myself a "emulator box" soon.
Is there anyway to have a custom j-21pin RGB cable for the original Xbox made?
If possible, can anyone post some images of these monitors in action? just curious to see some more pics of how some games look on it :)

Sure... there are others on this forum that have turned a 21 pin coupler into a PVM adapter (and posted info)...  You could possibly make one yourself if so inclined, as it's not terribly difficult.

Yes, I've rotated my PVM-2030 90° (couterclockwise)  to play vertical games in full screen (3:4).  Works fine!  The 2530 would work the same way (only diff is size).

Only with video cards that output 15.75kHz @ 60Hz, or an Extron down converter.  The Extron units can even output 240p RGB, similar to real HW w/RGB.

I have an official Xbox SCART RGB cable available.  The Xbox AV cable plug can be extracted from any official cable and be turned into a RGB cable for PVM-XXXX monitors.

Here's how Super Metroid looks via RGB on my PVM-2030:
