Adjusting Horizontal/Vertical size and position with Sony PVM-2530? Dark picture

I have a Sony PVM-2530 monitor. How do I adjust the horizontal/vertical size and position (I know it involves opening it up)?

Also, I have a custom euro SCART to 1084 cable that I use with this monitor. SNES and a couple other systems have a dark screen on this monitor, while genesis 1/neo geo/supergun supernova/master system look great. Any idea why?

this was never a problem with my Mitsubishi Megaview 33" monitor (which just died on me recently...turns on but sounds like it's trying to display something...perhaps it's in trip mode).
