new forum colours

hey all,
i havnt been here in a fair while, and all of a sudden i find the forums have changed completely.
all well and good, no real problems from me.
until i start looking through threads.
now, i read through thread titles, enter a thread, read through, then go back to the thread listing, then i look for the one that's changed colour and keep reading down from there. but the changed colour ones with this board theme is only half a shade different to the unchanged one. i cant tell the difference.
is there another style i can change to? i looked through the options i could find, and there doesnt seem to be very much.
this seriously lowers the enjoyment of looking through the forums for me..
ofcourse i cant speak for everyone.

I'll see if I can work out which bit of CSS that is.  No promises though, forum code shits me no end.
