RGB->YPrPb converter w/ US consoles

I am working on maximizing the video output quality on all of my consoles.

I have an Atlona SCART RGB to RCA YPrPb converter and an American NTSC HDTV with YPrPb input.  The converter claims to support NTSC, PAL and SECAM, and that it will have the same tv encoding output as input.

My question is, if I buy SCART cables (most of which are intended for European PAL use) for my consoles, will they work? (Excluding any special exceptions like SNES which needs capacitors)

Would something like this Spider Cable be appropriate?  Or do I need to look for cables that explicitly say "Support NTSC" or something.

I'm interested in immediately the Genesis (v. 2), dreamcast and ps2.

Thanks.

Given that I have a jamma supergun with scart output and an NTSC TV, I can tell you at the very least that it will sync properly with just an adapter.
Now as for color, I'd assume your converter will take care of that, but I can't say for sure. I'd imagine it should, I don't know how I'd get color out of my supergun.

I'm doing the same thing :-) So far the Atlona is great!

The PS2 can output component video directly. I don't think componant cables are that expensive. I have it connected to my HDTV that way. There is a menu option to switch the output from RGB to YUV.

I bought a dreamcast SCART cable from Europe and it works perfectly on my US dreamcast system.  If you're good with a soldering iron I just put up a custom cable on the gamesx wiki.

I haven't gotten a scart cable for my genesis yet, but from all I've heard, the RGB outputs on genesis and mega drvie systems are identical.

Other than the SNES, the big exception is the US N64 that needs to be modded to output RGB. (Mod on the wiki).

I tried my setup on a different tv, and it works perfectly for both SNES and Genesis, without any modifications to the SNES.

Also, the reason I was hoping to get RGB output for the ps2 is because ps2 games support YPrPb, but PS1 games don't.  However, PS1 should support RGB.
