My nomad has a broken pin on the right side of its ac or dc power plug or jack or port.
I dont know what the proper name for the part:

Do any of you guys know a store or place online that sells a similar replacement? Ive looked around and only found some that werent quite an exact match. And i dont want to sacrifice a working genesis or 32x from athrift store for a replacement.
Any info would be much appreciated.
Any info :)

It's a female connector, the jack if you need to use that term. If memory serves me right, you should ask for a two-conductor jack that supports a 4.0 mm outer diameter and a 1.7 mm inner diameter. Radio Shack doesn't list those sort of parts online anymore, but you might get lucky buying from Fry's, or one of the bigger part outlets like MCM.

I'm not 100 percent sure about those measurements, so measure yourself with a caliper or wait for someone to back me up.

The thing to remember about power supplies is that there are no standards. Once you get past the regulated AC line in your house, all bets are off and anybody can do almost anything with the power. Fortunately, in the case of the Genesis there were no shortage of third party substitutes available to the general public. Radio Shack, Fry's, Mad Catz and MCM all made equivalent power supplies that worked fine. There was even a Compaq server part that made a fine Sega CDX power supply for the amount of amperage it produced.

If the stuff you found doesn't work out, post again and I'll dig up that list of part numbers to share. Most of those guys can be found for pretty cheap, and as a last resort you can always order the real part from the Sega Parts store online.
