My new TV has no scart input - help!!

I'm currently using a SCART cable to enjoy RGB video on my pal-SNES, ntsc-N64 and pal-NGC. I also have an rgb-scart cable for my MegaDrive2.

However, I just bought a new LCD TV and it doesn't have a SCART input !
(it does have component video, composite video, S-video and VGA (9-pin) inputs though).

I want to keep playing with RGB and don't want to go back to using the standard composite video cable for these systems (or RF-cable in the case of MegaDrive2).
I'm wondering what the best thing to do is

Options:

(1) Use a scart-to-component video converter, like the one seen here:

It looks like these converters don't allow for audio, so I would have to butcher my scart cable to get at the audio wires separately.


(2) Probably the best option: make my own VGA cable, as per the one listed below, which would plug into the VGA port on my TV:

Your new LCD probably doesn't support 15kHz RGB over it's VGA input (most don't).  You'll need a scan doubler such as one of the XRGB series.

However even with a scan doubler the image will still be scaled by the LCD.   The scaling makes a lot of games (especially 2D games) look worse.  

If you're old SCART TV still works you may want to keep using it for games.

Actually, the TV has a 15-pin D-sub PC input (not a 9-pin VGA input as I first thought).

So would this D-sub port be compatible ?

FURTHER QUESTIONS:

(1) The manual for my LCD TV states that:
"This TV's PC input does not support Sync on Green or Composite Sync."

What does this mean ?


(2) The TV manual further states:
"This TV's PC input does not support interlaced signals."

This sounds like a BIG problem if I want to use a SNES/N64/GCN via this PC port, as I described above.

Is it ?
