How compatible is SASI with SCSI?

   On the early model X68000s that have SASI, how difficult is it to plug a hard drive in? Will any SCSI drives work?

I've heard that early model SCSI-1 drives will work, but there's no guarantee.  It varies by manufacturer and model.
