Now I have a script set up to load the driver you need based on what file type you would like to playback. In my v2.20 you can use mcdrv or rcd to playback .mid files but mcdrv seems to process the file faster.

I also just wanted to add it's pretty cool to hear about a video made about the hd image!

Thanks for all your hard work on the image!

For those who are just hearing about this new image for the first time, the video in question is here:

@incrediblehark I watched a YouTube video featuring the HD image, it sounds like they have been in contact regarding the Music player and MIDI files.
I know when I tested it I could not 'see' the .MID files, so it is good that the reason has been found and being looked to be fixed.

Sometimes it is difficult to know if it is 'user error' or fundamentally there is something not setup quite right. It's nice they kept persevering and came up with an answer.

@owen2471 regarding the key, if you get stuck and are in the UK, I could model the key in 3D and create a 3D print file.
But I would need you to send me a key. I don't have original keyboard/mouse I use a USB adapter.

For the video cable, you have two choices:

- buy a VGA to PC98/X68000/FM Towns converter. The NFGGames/GameSX wiki talks about the Sanwa AD-D15NE.
- make a VGA to X68000 cable yourself. It should be cheaper, and the pinouts are available on the wiki, too.

For the keyboard, look for « ALPS keycaps ». I'm not sure you can find X68000 keycaps for sale, but old (1980's, 1990's) Apple mechanical keyboard may have compatible keycaps.

Thank you for the reply

Indeed don't seem to be any complete guide to install Windows 95.
The more productive one that i has seen in japanese shows that first install dos and windows 3.1 and then update to windows 95 from windows 3.1.

But not sure if this is the best method.

Hi Everyone

All of my FM-Towns machines have bad CD-ROM drives. I am going to be working on them but in the meantime does anyone know of a decent alternative which will work externally?

Thanks

Hello.

I have got my 2 Sharp X6800's out of storage. I've yet to test them because I need a suitable tv / monitor cable, if anyone can suggest where I can get one that would be helpful.

Secondly I am missing a key from the keyboard, is there anywhere I can get replacement keys, non original ones will do.

Thank you
