Title: Do the floppy drives from the original x68000 allow for writing?
Post by: spuci278 on September 27, 2022, 11:59:40 AM
I am unable to format or write to floppy disks but I am not sure why.  I just get an error that either the disk is not ready or to abort, retry, fail.  The disks load and read just fine though.

Any help would be appericated!

Thanks,

Floppy disks have physical write protect functionality. Look it up and make sure your disk is not write protected. X68000 floppy drives have read and write functionality.

Yeah the write protect is off (no label).  And the attribute for config.sys is writable very strange.
