Title: I only got Ys3 running on Neko Project 2. But audio is pcspeaker :(

Hi!

So my question is, how do I get the best experience of playing Ys3 (pc98) in emulator?

I got it running in Neko Project 2, but the audio is 1 channel only and super beepy.

A runner up question is Ys 3 (pc9801) compatible with pc9821?

I got my answer from the PC98 discord!
I had the wrong release of the game. The downloadable floppies on the interwebs is the wrong release!

The correct ones are in .HDM-format and found in the Neo Kobe Archive.
