Title: Six button Sega Genesis Controller Encoder (Verilog)
Post by: bootsector on April 08, 2019, 12:10:03 PM
Hi guys!

I wrote a 6 button Sega Genesis controller encoder in Verilog:

https://github.com/bootsector/smd-sixbutton-encoder

Burned that on an EPM7064 CPLD and it was correctly detected by Super Street Fighter 2 and Streets of Rage 3.  8)

Hope this might be useful to someone else!

Cheers,

bootsector

Hi there,

I'm not seeing a pinout anywhere. Can you help with that? Thanks in advance.

Have you tested this with Mortal Kombat 1 & 2 (1, especially)? Does it read as a six-button?

Very cool, thanks!  One day when I get more acquainted with CPLD and make a giant circuit with everything incorporated, Ill need this :)
