I have a x68000 compact with midi card going to a Roland SC-88pro. The SC-88pro has a CM-64 mode triggered by holding down some buttons then toggling it on. When i use the mode on Final Fight, the song currently playing sounds good but any time the song changes (changing levels or just playing songs in the menu) it seems to revert to a different instrument set. Is this just a side effect of the compatibility mode implementation?
If you want any kind of Roland LA you have to buy the real thing :/ Compatibility modes are all far from the mark.
