Title: ps2 psu mod?
Post by: phreak97 on June 06, 2004, 09:49:18 PM
i recently bought a japanese ps2.
i live in australia so the power outlets are all 240v, is there any inexpensive way to modify the 110v psu to take the 240v happily?

(it says 100v on the ps2.. is japan only 100v? i thought it was 110:/ maybe its a 100v psu.. in any case its running ok off 110)

thanks

It might be best to just get a new auto-sensing power supply, like the one here (http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?category=132&products_id=756). However, from stories here and there I'd be hesitant to order from Lik-Sang. (Then again, you're substantially closer to them than I am, so maybe you'll have better luck. )
