Title: External HDD Port on Pro II
Post by: vanpeebles on November 17, 2017, 06:43:54 PM
Am I right in thinking that the external hdd port is just a normal centronics type? Could I connect a scsi2sd to that, using the appropriate cables? I was planning to use the port on the scsi card I have but I don't think I'll be able to sort the drivers out with what I have at the moment.

The external HDD port on the Pro II is not SCSI.  It is SASI.
You can use a scsi2sd on SASI machines, but you have to install the SxSI driver into
SRAM from a floppy disk.

Ah so, I'll still hit the driver issue :D Do either of the drivers come with the system discs, or are they separate. I have a few different versions of the system discs.

I have just installed the sasi driver successfully using the masterV2 floppy disc, you may find it here searching for the link...then install it and follow the procedures Leonk explained thoroughly in his topics....go for it!
