I have 2 japanese dreamcast units. the VA0 one worked before but i replaced the bios with an region free one.
Before it worked but i got video but no sound so i soldered back my original bios now i get sound but no video?
The other one VA2 works with composit but not with rgb?
Any solutions?
Any chance you shorted either of the mode select pins on the video connector? The description you give for the unit that you performed the BIOS swap on suggests that it's stuck in VGA mode, but that's just my best guess.
That can be the case! can this be fixed?
