Title: Unable to boot from AzTecMonster CF2SCSI on ACE HD
Post by: aarkay14 on December 10, 2016, 06:00:05 PM
Hi All,

I have recently recapped an entire x68000 and wanted to boot it with AztecMonster CF2 SCSI but it doesnt work, I am using Eidis v4 image of a 2 GB CF and have connected everything properly but my system always goes to asking for a floppy, is there any way to make it boot directly from HDD?? The red LED labelled DASP comes on for a second and then goes away and then the system asks for the floppy... I do not have any floppies to boot from hence wanted to boot from HDD:

I have tried the jumper as well but it did not work, I don't know what I am missing here. All cables are connected and everything looks ok. Please someone help me.. To see how I recapped this you can see my videos on YouTube:

Do I need a boot disk with SASI drivers or somthing? Can someone make me one? or is AztecMonster not compatible with ACE HD CZ-611C?

Please help me out.

The Ace is SASI, and the AztecMonster is SCSI, they are normally not compatible with each other.
First you need to install the SxSI driver.  It installs into the system's SRAM, and allows the SASI machines
to use SCSI devices.

The simple way is to just download Eidus's Master Disk, write it to a floppy, and boot from it.  There are instructions, just do a search.  Then the Aztec will work.
