Title: PC-98 SoundBlaster16
Post by: Tw3ek on December 03, 2016, 07:07:53 AM
Hey guys!

I dropped a SoundBlaster 16 card in my PC-98 and it works great with some games. However, I cannot get Wolfenstein 3D to recognize it. I assume I need to use the SET BLASTER command in autoexec.bat, but does anyone know if the formatting for this is different in PC-98 DOS? Thanks for the help!

SoundBlaster 16 has three type in PC-98

you need soundblaster diagnose tool for PC98 ,  you can search it in google by your card model

The typical configuration after I install is as follows

SET BLASTER=Ad2 I5 D3
SET MIDI=SYNTH:1 MAP:G
SET SOUND=A:\SB16
A:\SB16\SB16SET /M:255 /VOC:255 /CD:255 /MIDI:255 /LINE:255 /TREBLE:0
