Title: X68K Mouse Repair
Post by: UD2 on June 19, 2016, 02:18:59 PM
I have an X68K mouse that doesn't seem to track well horizontally due to the ball not applying enough force to the rollers. I found a small metal piece inside when I opened the mouse to clean it. Could someone with a puck-style X68K mouse upload a picture of the insides so I can figure out where it goes and if it has anything to do with the tracking issue? Thanks!

If I'm not mistaken about what you're referring to, I think it goes in a little slot on the inside. I don't have access to my home to take a picture right now, unfortunately.
Do you happen to know the size of the mouse ball? Been trying to find a replacement in vain

I'm not sure, but if you'd like, I can measure the mouse ball with a caliper for you.

Good idea! That would be great
