Hello,

I got the following strange message when I try to run Doom on my PC9821.
I tried the same install on a PC9821 CanBe model and it ran fine.

Any ideas?

Delete line in file config.sys
DEVICE=\EMM386.EXE /M=2048 /UMB

My Config.sys has
Device=\emm386.exe /NOEMS /UMB

Is that affecting it?

Yes, the game can not be used emm386.exe (expanded memory)

if its anything like the DOS version it has its own way of running in protected mode and managing the memory.

I suppose you got a solution, but if not. Try to turn on this option in the BIOS.
