Title: finding an ADPCM to PCM (WAV,AIFF etc) utility
Post by: H68k on November 26, 2014, 04:21:18 AM
Does anyone know where I can find a utility that can convert the X68ks ADPCM (.pcm) files to PCM files (WAV, AIFF etc) for windows?

 Hi H68k !

I used SoX. More info in the following threads "Step2 - Preparing audio" section.

Major release: FMV transcoding and playback on X68000

I tried the modern version of SOX, and sadly it would not touch the ADPCM files..

But if anyone's interested. after some digging on the NFG games FTP server. I found a borderline achaint version of SOX someone ported to Human68k some time ago. It's a bit screwy, crashes a bit and the command line does not make much sense. but whoever ported it, was kind enough to add some code that allows it to convert X68k ADPCM files to ether WAV or AIF PCM files.
