Title: Game Help Needed Please
Post by: swisstoni on May 24, 2014, 07:24:18 PM
Afterburner 2 and Super Street Fighter 2 are listed to support 31khz but does anyone know the key to press to switch from 15khz?

 Hi Swisstoni !

Hold OPT.1 when launching Afterburner2 for 31kHz mode.
Super Street Fighter II in V4 is different version which by default runs in 31kHz.

Quite a few games have key combos, you can use as they start up.. to change things like the screen resolution.. screen refresh..  enable cheaty modes.. developer modes... hidden menus etc etc.

There's some Japanese sites out there that have cheat sheets with the listed.. but it's been a while since I looked.

At the end of the day though, your better off getting a scan converter box, if you don't want to use a CRT... or your CRT doesn't support those kind of video modes.

Cheers thanks for the link although these look expensive it looks good for use with retro computers and consoles, so will 15khz games run fine on a standard LCD screen with these?

I havent used the xrgb-mini but I have used the Micomsoft xpc-4.  It works perfect with these computers.  It basically takes anything the x68k outputs and converts it to anywhere from 640x480 up to 1920x1080.
