Title: N64 RGB Amp Wiki
Post by: simonbelmont2 on August 19, 2010, 05:57:19 PM
Sorry to say this but I think this picture http://www.gamesx.com/wiki/lib/exe/fetch.php?media=av:njmamp3.jpg (http://www.gamesx.com/wiki/lib/exe/fetch.php?media=av:njmamp3.jpg) is placed wrong in that section. If you look very close at the other pictures you will see that the PCB don't have the IC socket.
Someone to correct me if I am wrong.

What's the page that's referencing that image? It's worth mentioning that quite commonly ICs will be mounted to a perf board like that without a socket or other dedicated connector. I do it all the time with 555 timers, especially since I don't have to have every pin connected to something.

This is the link with the picture in cause: http://www.gamesx.com/wiki/doku.php?id=av:n64rgb-amp (http://www.gamesx.com/wiki/doku.php?id=av:n64rgb-amp.).  By the way, I saw now, the PCB have different components.
