For those that care about my worthless doodles, here's a WIP. I love NEC's SuperGrafx console, it's got more character than any other I can think of, with more irrelevant and purely decorative frippery than any console before or since.
I'm about 3-4 hours into this one, but a lot of that time was spent re-vectorizing the PCE logo. Bit of a strange story there, I had vectorized it way, way back in the early nineties on the ST. After a HD crash one of the only surviving files was a huge 2-colour GIF of the vector - so it's been scanned, vectored, rasterized, and now revectored (And rastered for this JPG). All that for an end result about 40 pixels across.
Here's a progression of images, from the original, the WIP, and the next two show the level of detail as you zoom in. That's what I love about vectors, it's like fractal detail. The more effort you put in the more you get out.

That's coming along really well. This vector thing sounds very interesting, I wish I had that kind of patience.

do you have a page where you have all of your console illustrations?...i would very much like high res images of all the nec consoles (incl. the x68000, and hell, any others) you have done to use as wallpapers on my pc...
