Title: S/PDIF on segas dreamcast ??

hi everyone

is there any way to add an S/Pdif out to my sega dreamcast ??

i searched the web but nothing found :-(.

it�s posiible for the  SNES so then it must be possible for dreamcast ,too

You can add digital output to any console if you simply convert the analogue to digital, but for real digital sound...  I dunno.  You'd need to know a fair amount about the workings of the DC.  I'll see what I can dig up around here.

The chip that handles the Dreamcast digital to analog audio conversion is a pcm1725 (http://www-s.ti.com/sc/ds/pcm1725.pdf) chip.  you can tap into the digital signals there.  However getting the parts to complete the circuit is another story...
