Title: Need DataSheet/Pinout of Sony A2106R
Post by: SAM on April 05, 2006, 02:38:40 PM
Any one could show me a link for download the Sony A2106R chip used in PlayStation? Or just the pin out of the chip?

I wish to know the Red in, Green in, Blue in, Sync in & the video ground in of the chip.

Thank you.

Just looking at the way it's layed out on a SCPH-7001 and also according to a repair forum discussion (http://forum.eshop.bg/viewtopic.php?p=338383&sid=a4a8f290d7bc0117698ac26054338496) (includes link to a comparable part (http://www.datasheetarchive.com/pdf-datasheets/Datasheets-27/DSA-525981.html)), it's an 8-bit DAC (i.e. of no use for analog RGB to NTSC encoding).

P.S. - No need for anyone to comment on this being "SO OLD HOLY CRAP." I just like keeping information in it's proper place.
