Title: ntsc n64 is missing the U4 VDC chip. sol?

i guess the n64 is too new of a rev and the rgb has been removed. looks like i am in the same boat as the pal users ....
board was made in 1999.

When I last checked, the chip in that position encoded the digital video bus signal into an analog signal. From memory, on the PAL models, it appears the chip doesn't spit out the RGB signal, but does spit out the composite/s-video.

What chip is in that position?

the chip that is close to the u4 position is u1 now and the number on the chip is rs5c382.
