Title: separate composite sync into H sync + V sync?
Post by: initial_y on July 30, 2004, 01:50:50 PM
I have seen the sycn separator circuit diagram.

why the composite sync signal link to H sync pin but the corresponding pin?

Is the image quality better for separate the composite sync into H sync + V sync ?
How to implement?

The sync is separated from the composite signal inside the TV anyways, so I don't think you need to build an external separator.
Which console/connector are you talking about?

I think he is trying to ask, is H+V sync (separate) better than Composite sync--he isn't asking about separating the sync from the video signal.

The answer is, it depends on your game. Most console games are at lower resolutions that composite sync carries, especially older 2D games, so they tend to look better on a composite (15KHz sync) monitor.
