Title: Official RGB Genesis!???
Post by: Segasonicfan on July 29, 2004, 05:48:00 PM
Hey guys, I came accross a special model 1 Sega Genesis that I bought.  It says "High Definition Graphics" at the top of the cart port and it has a 9 pin external output on the back.  I opened it up and compared it to another model 1 and saw that there were MANY differences.  Most of all, it has a huge extra chip and some intrnal wiring as well as 2 voltage converters and a different heat sink, etc.  Anyone else have one of these or knows if it's RGB??

All Genesis systems output RGB.  The 9pin connector is the serial port for the modem.  THere are more chips 'cause it's an earlier revision.

I worked in a warehouse about 5 years ago that was right next to a black warehouse with a Skynet logo on it.
