Title: Stupid question of the month
Post by: madmalkav on July 09, 2004, 05:47:10 AM
I jsut want to know if there's some adaptor that will take sound signal apart of  a scart connector, for ex. that will have a female scart connector, and the output will be a male scart connector and two rca connectors for L/R audio, so I can take the audio apart and connect it to my sound system.

Just buy a SCART patch cable and strip out the two wires you want, attach them to RCA, dead simple.

And if you want to buy a pre-made adapter, you can.  It'd be very easy to just make one, but the adapters do exist.  Get a SCART to S-Video adapter and you'll probably have found what you want (it should include audio jacks).

Of course, you'll save plenty of money (and maybe even some time) if you just grab the audio pins from a SCART cable and wire them to a couple of RCA jacks.
