There's not much point having an stick that's easy to modify if you can't put your choice of mechanism in there, and since the one Hori ships only supports their Hayabusa or Sanwa mechs, I whipped one up that allows the use of Hori's excellent 40mm sticks, like the SELS-70X, the LS-56, etc.
This plate will bring the stick as high as possible, with only the 2mm plate thickness between the mech and top panel. This is only 0.5mm more than most metal plates. The overall depth profile is the same as the SNK Neo Candy (https://gamesx.com/wiki/doku.php?id=arcade:adaptor_plates#snk) control panel.
I worried about flex, but I don't notice any. But be sure to use all 8 screws (4 stick, 4 base) for maximum solidity.
As a printing tip, on my bed slinger I print it vertically as shown, with the longer edge running along the bed's movement axis, to minimize the risk of it wobbling or falling over during printing.
