Title: Mod a PS2 RetroCon to work on GameCube?
Post by: SpoDaddy on July 02, 2004, 07:14:21 PM
For some reason this controller doesn't work with any of the commercial controller adapters, can anyone help me mod the RetroCon to work on Cube?  Or is there a way to mod the adapter to actually work?

EDIT:  Duh.  I was confused (again).

To answer your question, yes, it should be possible to mod it to work on the GC.  It won't be easy and it may involve pulling apart a GameCube controller in the process.  Depending on what you want to do, it may be a better option to just mod a standard NES pad.

I'd love to mod an NES controller but unfortunately the NES controller only has 2 buttons, so I couldn't use it with all Game Boy Advance games on the Game Boy Player.  Still, I love the idea of playing Cube with an NES controller.  How would I go about modding an NES or SNES controller to work on Cube?

One place you can buy the Hori pad they are talking about would be here:
