Title: MAME X68000 emulation: 6 button pad/joystick and saving options
Post by: AlbMM on September 03, 2024, 09:42:54 PM
Hi friends. This forum is the reference on the net for X68000.

I'm an arcade and emulation fan. I'm working in a X68000 romset for my arcade machine running on MAME (.hds 10 Mb SCSI files).

I have two problems with MAME emulation:

1.- I can't get 6 buttons controllers working: I set 6 button FM Towns pad or Megadrive 6 buttons pad in "Slot devices", but it don't let me to map the 4 extra buttons in "input settings", cause FM Towns 2 button is shown.

2.- The other question is if you know a way to save the game's configurations.

Thanks in advice.

Don't use MAME unless you have a really good reason. Use XM6 Type-G (http://retropc.net/pi/xm6/index.html) or XEiJ (https://stdkmd.net/xeij/).

Thanks friend, but I have a good reason: really I'm using GroovyMAME, which integrates Switchres and other features to improve input lag and low latency, is very much in line with an arcade. I can't use any other emulator.

Thanks.
