I opened up my disc tray to day and had a look at the cd module,
I noticed the little spindel that holds the CD has a small black circular sticker on it.
What purpose does this serve?
Probably a dust cover, to keep the lovely greasy moving bits from becoming seized and solid bits.
I used to use stickers to repair the mounting spindel when someone smashed it down when forcing a CD in too hard. Perhaps someone has done the same with that unit.
