ok, so, i'm trying to add svideo connectors to almost every console i have (thanks to the pinouts here on gamesx). but what i saw on the pinouts for the dreamcast, is that for the rgb connection you need to make a connection between pins, to enable the rgb.
So, my question is that if it is needed to make a connection between pins to make it work?

if i sounded very confuse and confusing, i'm referring to the rgb switch mentioned here.
You're trying to add Svideo connectors, and the switch/jumper enables RGB.
Why are you asking about the switch when you're not messing with RGB?
cause i thought that a switch is needed for the dramcast to know wich cable are you going to use.
i mean, the rgb uses one. will the s-video one need one too? (on other pins of course).
The pinout seems clear enough to me:

except for the tiny fact that I didn't say which Svideo pin was which. =)
already got it set up.
thanks anyway. i thought that you needed a switch to enable it. thanks anyway, sorry for the confusion.
Since they aren't labeled Y or C, would you mind telling me which pin (11 or 12) carries the Chroma signal? I need to use it for sync on the PS1 LCD monitor.
EDIT: Nevermind, I found it on the main page. The first diagram doesn't indicate, but the VGA diagram does:
Pin 11: S Chroma
Pin 12: S Luma
