Title: Overclocking the SNES?
Post by: CNadolski on June 10, 2004, 02:23:34 AM
I've read through this forum and some links posted throughout, and while I've seen numerous articles on modding the NES, Genesis, N64, and other "old" consoles, I have yet to see a single one regarding overclocking the SNES.  Is it that it can't be done, or that it has never been tried.

I *might* be able to do it on my own, since I graduated with a computer engineering degree, but without any datasheets for the SNES (pin outs, what the chips are, etc) I have no idea where to begin.

So, at best does anyone know of anyone who has overclocked the SNES (US version)?

Or at the very least some detailed data sheets for it so that it could be done?

Thanks!
